Heavy rainfall wreaks havoc in several parts of India
Several states across India, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Kerala, have been affected by heavy rainfall, resulting in severe flooding, landslides, and disruption of daily life. The heavy downpour has caused rivers to overflow and roads to become submerged, disrupting traffic and transportation.

In Karnataka, rescue operations are underway in the coastal districts of Uttara Kannada and Dakshina Kannada, which have been hit hard by the rains. Landslides have also been reported in several parts of the state, blocking roads and hampering relief efforts.
In Kerala, heavy rains have caused landslides in the hilly district of Idukki, resulting in several deaths and damage to property. The state has declared a red alert in several districts, anticipating further heavy rainfall in the coming days.
